I’ve learned that color and clarity are both important when setting the value of a diamond, but it’s very expensive to buy a high grade diamond. So I like to know what people prefer to buy, a high grade is clarity and low grade in color? or high in color and low in clarity? And which is better, a diamond color/clarity that is D/SI2 or a diamond color/clarity H/VVS2?

Why is there such a substancial markup in price for diamonds certified by expert organizations? Is a non-certified not a real diamond? Is a certified diamond worth the extra cost involved in purchasing it? Are the qualities of a non-certified diamond (clarity, cut, color, etc.) identifiable if no expert organization or gemologists has given it a certification?

Ebay has many clarity enhanced diamonds at a lower price than other diamonds. Are clarity enhanced diamonds legitimate?
