Alexa asked:

What is the name of a diamond cut that is similar to a marquis, but instead of points on the top and bottom, it’s flat? I can’t find it anywhere on the internet and I’m trying to figure out what type of cut the stone i have is.
Picture a marquis, but the points on top and bottom are slightly flattened. The middle section is a little wider and slightly pointed. Maybe this is just an unusual fancy cut?

I think you are probably thinking about a Cushion cut or a Radiant cut…they have a similar facet appearance to that of a marquise, but are square or rectangular in shape. A cushion is my first guess because it does not have straight square sides, but rather a bit rounded…and can be almost oval at times, depending on the cut of the stone. Have a look at some cushions and see if that has the look you like.
