<a href="http://diamondreference.net">BIJOU</a>

You are right in saying that some jewellers only want to sell you something. Some are not honest and they will not provide all the diamond facts. They are a few new cuts out there....one being the Spring Cut. The spring cut the a combination of a radiant cut and emerald and is retangular shaped like a emerald. The spring cut because of the step pattern need to be cut from an absolutely clear stone otherwise inclusions would be more noticable. This is a beautiful stone. It's all in what you want...what shape, carat, clarity and color. The bigger and and clearer the stone the more expensive. When seeing a jeweller always ask to look at a stone through a loupe, you will be able to see more than with the naked eye. The best stone out there is a Super Ideal cut...this stone is round brilliant, has 58 facets and is perfect in every way. Perfect, color, symetry, polish and cut. With this stone you are able to see the hearts and arrows pattern if you look through what is called a firescope. 8 hearts at the bottom of the stone and 8 arrows if viewed from the top. This pattern is created by the facets having a mirror image of one another. The Hearts and Arrows...because it is cut so pefectly has only been around since 1985...computers are needed for precision cutting. Cuttings take about 4 days where a regular stone in cut in 2. I would have to say the the Spring Cut, Super Ideal and Princess are the most fasionable.

I am in jeweler in new england. Cushion cuts are the hottest thing right now, but princess cuts are the most "findable" trendy cut. Britney has a cushion, for a celebrity influence.

<a href="http://diamondreference.net">GATLAND</a>

Princess cut diamonds set in white gold or platinum are the trends these days. Size and quality are personal preferences that vary with each individual. Check out the for C's of Diamond buying before making a decision then find a Jeweler that you can trust and enjoy your diamond buying experience!!
