Bob R asked:

What about in different colors and clarities? I’m trying to see if I can afford one, before I embarass myself in the Tiffany’s store. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

    WOW !!!! TWO CARATS !!!!

You can call Tiffany’s and ask what their range of prices are for a 2 carat diamond (mentioning first that you DO understand it may be a wide range, considering the color, cut, and clarity).

Ballpark figure — you have to figure at least about $5,000 (and up) per carat. Tiffany’s would probably charge AT LEAST $15,000 to $30,000 for that rock ! You may want to check at some smaller jewelry stores, first, for their estimates, just to get an idea.

Good luck in your endeavor !

Diamonds can range in cost tremendously according to the color, cut an clarity.
Why do you want to buy a diamond at Tiffanys? You’ll most likely pay for the name and have to settle for a smaller..less quality ring.
You can probably (no..definetly) get a better diamond for less somewhere else. Remember you purchase the diamond then the setting…never buy a pre-made ring if you want quality.
I’ve listed 2 web sites you should check out…Tiffanys has diamonds starting as low as about $1500 but not 2 carats worth.
    Good Luck!
