Butterfly asked:

I’ve seen several dress selection choices, but I haven’t seen a picture of an actual difference. If you could find two dresses, one in each color so I can compare them I would be so grateful.

White is like the brightest white there is. Diamond white goes better with all skin tones. It is white but slightly more complementary to all skin shades. try them both on and you will see a slight difference.

Diamond white is a more glossy white. Usually made of a more shiny fabric. White is not as bright.

Actually Diamond white is a bit softer white than true white.
True white is actually a very hard color for most women to wear, especially caucasian women, diamond white softens the harshness of the white against certain lighter skin tones.

ETA:Its hard to tell the difference between Diamond White and True white unless you try them on.

Diamond white is softer and warmer than bright white. Please don’t listen to the people who are advising that it is brighter and more silvery, because that isn’t true. Diamond white still looks like a true white (not ivory), but it is not as stark.

A bridal shop should have swatches on hand to tell the difference. Or, after you’ve done some shopping and trying on of dresses, you will probably be able to pick up on the difference yourself.

A picture online would be too hard to tell the difference but a bridal salon should have swatches. I don’t think David’s bridal offers Diamond white though so they won’t. But when I was looking for my dress, I read online somewhere that Diamond white is like white silk because silk doesn’t get a bright bright white. Photographers like it better because it photographs better and it will most likely look better w/ any skin tone than white white. My seamstress called it candle white, the color of a white candle.
Honestly, my dress is diamond white and I wouldn’t have known it wasn’t white white if they hadn’t told me. And trust me, I looked!
