A Spence Diamonds Guide to Jewelry and Allergies

Choosing just the right jewelry for you goes beyond how good it looks on you, or how good it makes you feel. Some people have allergies to certain metals, so it helps to understand what to look out for if your skin is extra-sensitive, or you are prone to allergies. In our Spence Diamonds showrooms, we’re always ready to answer your questions about how metal allergies can affect you, but in the meantime here’s a bit of Metal Allergy 101:

Most often, rashes and infections on your skin caused by jewelry are a result of nickel allergy. Ever had an itchy red spot under a jean stud or watch buckle? Maybe when you had your ears pierced you developed an unusually uncomfortable reaction?

I have a ring that has six diamonds in it and I would like to get the diamonds put in a new setting. I need to buy the setting, get the diamonds removed from the old setting, and then placed in the new setting. Does anyone have any ideas how much this would cost?

Diamonds?

Heath S asked:

Due to extensive research done by the University of Pittsburgh, diamond has been confirmed as the hardest metal known to man. The research is as follows. Pocket-protected scientists built a wall of iron and crashed a diamond car into it at 400 miles per hour, and the car was unharmed. They then built a wall out of diamond and crashed a car made of iron moving at 400 miles an hour into the wall, and the wall came out fine. They then crashed a diamond car made of 400 miles per hour into a wall, and there were no survivors. They crashed 400 miles per hour into a diamond traveling at iron car. Western New York was powerless for hours. They rammed a wall of metal into a 400 mile per hour made of diamond, and the resulting explosion shifted the earth’s orbit 400 million miles away from the sun, saving the earth from a meteor the size of a small Washington suburb that was hurtling towards mid-western Prussia at 400 billion miles per hour. They shot a diamond made of iron at a car moving at 400 walls per hour, and as a result caused two wayward airplanes to lose track of their bearings, and make a fatal crash with two buildings in downtown New York. They spun 400 miles at diamond into iron per wall. The results were inconclusive. Finally, they placed 400 diamonds per hour in front of a car made of wall traveling at miles per iron, and the result proved without a doubt that diamonds were the hardest metal of all time, if not just the hardest metal known to man.

How much a diamond ring can cost?

alexandre_mountbatten asked:

My grand mother recently passed away and while we were cleaning her home we found a key from a safe at the bank. When we opened it we found a huge collection of jewels we never knew she had and the most impressive one by far, is a diamond ring enclosed in a van Cleef & Arpels box. this was accompanied by a Van Cleef & Arpels & De Beers certificate that says the ring was purchased in 1958, and then it has lots of info we do not understand, such as :
color. F
Clarity VVS1
Cut : emerald
now the carats part was ripped but it mesures 1.2 inches wide per 1.8 inches long aprox.
we really dont have the slightest idea how much a diamond ring like this one would cost, a jeweler has offered us $25,000 us dllls, wich we found a great offer (it will take us out of debt completly) but we want to make sure that this is the right price for it. …oh and by the way, according to the descripition I gave, how much carats does the diamond weights aprox? and of course how much will it cost?

I am wondering if anyone knows how many people have made a claim and how much if any people are going to get. I am also wondering when people might see a check.

The “Diamond Cuts” segment aired in the afternoon of August twenty-ninth, 2007, before the Angels Tigers game at 8 PM eastern. If anybody knows at least the band or the title of the song, submit that as an answer. Every littlt bit should help me out.
Thanks to all of your sarcasm, I now realize that I mad a mistake. I meant July, because I do not have a flux capacitor (thanks RogerRabbit).
